CoolantIQ PATENT PENDING

Never Worry About
Coolant Level or
Concentration Again.

The CiQ20-3 automatically monitors concentration, mixes to the correct ratio, and keeps your sump topped off — so you can run unattended and focus on other things.

  • Eliminates concentration drift
  • Prevents machines from running low on coolant
  • Enables more reliable unattended machining

“Your coolant is drifting. You just can’t see it yet.”

Manual Coolant Checks
Are Quietly Draining
Your Shop.

Most shops rely on an operator to periodically check each machine’s coolant — if they remember. That single reading drives tool failures, part scrap, bacterial growth, and unplanned downtime. The cost is real. It’s just invisible.

Manual Checks
Time-consuming, repetitive, and operator-dependent across every machine. Checks get skipped. Readings vary by person.
Mistakes and Complacency
Wrong readings, incorrect calculations, and sumps accidentally flooded through simple carelessness — all costly mistakes that add up fast.
Cost & Quality Risk
Incorrect mixing drives concentrate waste, accelerated tool wear, bacterial odor, and rejected parts — costs that stay hidden until something goes wrong.
Machines should be running —
not waiting on someone to check the coolant.

Shops have automated nearly everything about running unattended. Coolant is the one task left that still pulls a person back to the machine.

Inspired by a Machinist Who
Couldn’t Buy What He Needed.

CoolantIQ™ co-founder CJ Abraham spent years chasing true lights-out machining in his own shop. Material loading, in-process inspection, unattended operation — everything was optimized. Everything except the coolant.

“I wasn’t satisfied with the options I found on the market. I wanted a solution that wasn’t a compromise, so I had to build my own.

CiQ20-3

Automated
Coolant Management.
For Every Machine.

The CiQ20-3 is a mobile cart that automatically measures and maintains coolant concentration and sump level for any CNC machine. Each unit deploys in minutes and works with or without a plumbed water source.

✓ 0.2% Brix Accuracy ✓ Closed-Loop Control ✓ Optional Cloud Dashboard ✓ Plumbing Not Required ✓ Sump Level Sensor ✓ Inline Refractometer ✓ On-Board Water & Concentrate Tanks ✓ Machine I/O ✓ Redeploy Between Machines ✓ Consumption Data

How It Works
Step 01
Deploy
Position cart next to machine sump, plug into 110 VAC outlet. Connect inlet and outlet hose. Fill water tank, or connect to water source, and fill concentrate tank. Set desired concentration and sump level.
Step 02
Measure
Inline refractometer continuously reads coolant concentration. Level sensor detects coolant left in the sump. Onboard sensors detect tank and sensor statuses.
Step 03
Correct
Water replaces evaporation; concentrate is dosed when Brix is below target. Closed-loop — fully automatic.
Step 04
Report
The optional cloud connectivity displays real-time status, trends, total consumption, and can send email or text notifications.

CoolantIQ™ Built for Real Shop Conditions.

Coolant is pumped continuously through the CiQ20-3, where an inline refractometer reads concentration in the flowing stream. When water or concentrate is needed, it is drawn in through a venturi in that same line — so make-up is blended into the coolant before it returns to the sump, never dumped in unmixed.

Critical Feature

Built-In
Water Buffer

Most systems that top off automatically run facility water straight into the sump, which carries the risk of flooding a sump with a limitless water supply. The CiQ20-3 fills an onboard tank and draws only from that tank, metering into the coolant line, so the sump is never connected to line pressure.

Fill the tank by hand or plumb it for automatic refill, whichever fits your shop. And if you would rather shut the water off overnight while nobody is watching, a full tank holds enough to keep the sump at level until you are back the next day.

The Right Partners
Are Already in the Shop.

We are actively recruiting distribution partners in four categories. If your team is already talking to CNC shops about consumables, tooling, or machines — CoolantIQ is a natural conversation to add.

Coolant & Fluid Distributors
Best Fit — Direct Category Alignment
Your reps already understand concentration, chemistry, and shop fluid management. CoolantIQ automates the conversation you’re already having — and gives shops a reason to stay on your coolant brand.
“Your reps are already talking about concentration. CoolantIQ automates what they’re recommending manually.”
Cutting Tool & Tooling Distributors
Strong Fit — Protect the Tools You Sell
Tool life is directly tied to coolant concentration stability. Your reps are in shops constantly and are trusted technical advisors. CoolantIQ gives them a data-backed story about protecting the premium tools they sell.
“Every dollar your customer spends on premium inserts is at risk if their coolant is out of spec.”
CNC Machine Dealers & Distributors
High Value — Commissioning Add-On
Machine dealers have the deepest shop relationships. CoolantIQ is a natural commissioning add-on — it pays for itself in the first year and reduces service calls related to coolant issues.
“You sell the machine. We keep it running at peak performance.”
Industrial MRO Distributors
Broad Reach — ROI-Led Conversation
Large field sales teams with massive shop coverage. CoolantIQ’s fast payback period and clear ROI model makes it a compelling add to any MRO conversation focused on reducing operating cost.
“Strong margin per unit. ~30-minute install. Fast payback. Easy conversation.”
